Where Did I Come From

QUESTION: Where did I come from?

ANSWER:

You can consider the question “where did I come from” in two main ways. Either you came as a process of evolution or you were created by a God who cares and loves you.

In God's Word it says in Genesis 1:1, "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." And so we know God created the universe. It also says in Psalm 33:6, "By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; their starry host by the breath of his mouth." And so we learn God created the entire universe out of nothing and literally by the power of His word.

The Bible says God took six days making the heavens and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but He rested on the seventh day. By Genesis 2: 7 we read that God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. God created the first man giving each person a soul, a part that never dies. Our beginnings began with the breath of God and His desire to express His love for us.

The search for answers puzzles many, often because we look to ourselves for truth and since I did not create myself, how can I know the answer to where I came from?

So, the answer rests firmly within the Creator's hand, that of our Lord. So, start with your Creator, He wills each breath you take, therefore He holds the key to the "where."

If you have an product and you want to know more about the item, the best way is to contact the inventor or read his instruction booklet. The same is true when searching for the "why" and/or "where" -- begin with God, His word the Bible is the best instruction manual with everything at your finger tips.

God knew about you before you were born and He knows you now, and His plan includes spending eternity with you.

When God created mankind, His expression of love took human form. He is love, and loves you, and we can have a relationship with the Lord.

A relationship with Jesus here on earth is an opportunity -- the window to living in heaven eternally.
